The National Union of the Blind of the Republic of Macedonia and International Braille Chess Association (I.B.C.A.) invite all member countries.

Location: Metropol Lake Resort, Settlment Konjsko B.B. 600 Ohrid Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM)
Dates: arrival June 18th 2017 - departure June 29th, 2017

1. Date and venue
The chess Olympiad will be held in Ohrid , Metropol Lake Resort - FYROM from June 18th 2017 (arrival) until June 29th 2017 (departure). The tournament hall is the conference center of the 4-star hotel “Metropol ” in Ohrid, FYROM.

4. Payments Board and lodging, IBCA fee
The participants will stay in the hotels of the “Metropol Lake Resort ” in Ohrid, Settlment Konjsko B.B.

Prices per person, per night, full board included:

Hotel Metropol and Hotel Bellevue:
in triple room: 44 Euros
in double room: 49 Euros
in single room: 59 Euros

Hotel Tourist:
in triple room: 41 Euros
in double room: 46 Euros

All participants, including coaches and accompanying persons of the delegations, must stay in the official hotel “Metropol Lake Resort ” for organisational and security reasons. The Organising Committee will not accept any person to be a participant if she/he doesn’t stay in the official hotel “Metropol Lake Resort”.
All delegations must deposit 30 % of the total cost for hotel accommodation before. March1st, 2017 to the following bank account:

The I.B.C.A. member countries must pay the annual fee of 150 Euros before the start of the first round to the treasurer.

5. Transportation from and to airport, railway station, excursion
Organizers will provide transportation from and to Skopje or Ohrid Airport or railway station and an excursion without any cost for all participants.
All delegations must send the flight details (date, time and flight number for arrival/departure) to the organizing committee before 01 May 2017.

6. Travel expenses and arrivals
According to FIDE regulations the participating federations must cover the travel expenses of all players, coaches and accompanying persons. Any member country that needs a special invitation to obtain visa to get into Macedonia, please communicate to Macedonia.

7. Schedule
June18th, 2017 – June 29th, 2017
A detailed programme and the agenda for the IBCA congress will follow in January 2017.

8. Chess equippment
Each team (4 players up to one reserve) must bring 4 Braille chess sets, 2 Braille clocks and writing (redording) equipment.

9. Playing system and rate of play
The chess Olympiad will be played in 9 rounds Swiss System.
The playing time will be 120 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 60 minutes for each player for the rest of the game, max. 6 hours.
Detailed rules will be send out with the programme.

10. Prizes
Teams placed first, second and third will be awarded respectively with gold, silver and bronze medals. In case of a tie the final ranking will be decided in accordance with the FIDE rules..
The prizes will be awarded at the official closing ceremony. The players receive the prizes personally.
